About The 100 Year Old House
The 100-Year-Old House was originally built in 1912 in Hurlingham, Nairobi. When it was due to be demolished to make way for a skyscraper the owners decided to rescue the house, moving it piece by piece to Nanyuki and preserving a little of Kenya’s History. This house is stylishly decorated and now has beautiful views of Mount Kenya and the Aberdare Mountains. It has 3 bedrooms, kitchen, veranda and a sitting area with a fireplace. A private garden surrounds the house. One room is a double en suite, the other two rooms share a bathroom and can be made up as singles or doubles if requested in advance.
The house is equipped with a large fridge freezer, toaster, kettle and gas burner/oven. A cleaner can visit each day to do the washing up and clean the house if desired at no extra charge. There is also an amazing communal swimming pool at the premises and barbecue facilities.
