A beach house for 10 people, built in a Swahili-Arabic style with swimming pool and an overwhelming view over and access to the warm Indian Ocean. The beach house is set in a 0.65 ha tropical garden, has 5 bedrooms (all with fans) and 3 unique “outdoor” bathrooms, 2 of which are “ensuite” and open to the outdoors. A bath or shower under the tropical starry sky is a “must do” experience. On the top floor is also a huge terrace with an even more beautiful view of the (400m) beach, the ocean and the hinterland. Built around a courtyard in which there is an alfresco dining area and a large fishpond which on the living room side shows an aquarium with hundreds of tropical fish through glass walls (great for children).

From the large living room you walk out to a large and cool terrace that overlooks the beach and the blue ocean. Palm trees and other plants such as the bougainvilleas provide a tropical ambiance. From the terrace you can also walk straight into the pool surrounded by palm trees or descend via a stone staircase (20 steps) to the wide white beach. Directly in the sea begins a coral reef with an amazing marine offering; tropical fish in all sizes and colors, snails, shells, starfish, crabs, lobsters, shrimps, etc.. A couple of ospreys catch their fish in front of the house twice a day. The beach in front of the house is also a recognized sea turtle nesting site. Together with the neighbors and the fishermen from the neighboring village, a conservation project for turtles and coral has been started. Groups of whales are regularly seen between August and October (also possible from very close). At 2 km there is an international luxury golf course and, if desired, all kinds of activities can be organized: (deep sea) diving, sea fishing, Dhow boat trips, game parks (30 km is the Tsavo East Park), etc.

The beach, Kuruwitu, Vipingo, has become a conservation area thanks to a healthy nesting turtle population. If you’re looking for activities, why not go snorkeling, guided reef walks and a variety of boats in the area for fishing or dolphin/whale tours. There are water sports opportunities only 20 mins away at the famous Mnarani Hotel. PGA branded golf course Vipingo Ridge is ten minutes away for any keen golfers. A fantastic beach bar is only a short stroll away.

Activities around Kilifi revolve around the creek, whether you want to try your luck at deep-sea fishing or water skiing out of Kilifi Boatyard or have an amazing dinner at Nautilus Restaurant. The 3° South Water Sports Club is the place to go sailing, windsurfing, water-skiing and wake boarding, for the young and active, or Bofa Beach is the perfect place to contemplate the Indian Ocean and work on your tan. Vipingo Ridge Golf Course is a half-hour drive away for world-class golfing as well as the unbelievable Kiruwitu Beach – a stunning marine ecosystem. The Kilifi New Year festival is one of the biggest attractions in the areas; spanning 3 days, with multiple stages, it is the new phenomenon on the coast. Kilifi / Vipingo never leaves you bored!
