Heather’s Garden is located on Mida Creek, Watamu. Set on 3 acres of luscious garden leading down to a private jetty on the creek, this airy, modern, minimalist house comes fully equipped with 5 bedrooms sleeping a maximum of 10 people and a pool. The top floor of the house hosts a rooftop lounge, bar and dining room, with an amazing dining table that sits 8 people and then plenty of room for star gazing after dinner. Master Bedroom: Four poster bed, large veranda, en suite bathroom, air-conditioning. Bedroom 2 is a triple, with two single four-poster beds and one double four-poster bed, walk-in dressing room, Bedroom 3: Double four-poster bed, en suite bathroom, air conditioning. Bedroom 4: Double four-poster bed, en suite bathroom. In the poolside bedroom there a two queen-size four-poster beds, en-suite shower, ceiling fan and sliding glass French doors onto the poolside veranda.

In bustling Watamu the question is more what can’t you do from your doorstep? The KWS marine park that stretches the length of Watamu beach offers snorkelling, kite surfing and stand-up paddleboarding, or you can visit the amazing team at Local Ocean Conservation Trust to find out how they are protecting turtles or check out the whale shark migration. On land, it’s a short hop to the amazing Gede ruins, or learn more about smaller spectacular members of Kenya’s wildlife at Mida Creek, Butterfly Farm or BioKen Snake Centre, both hubs of conservation excellence. A short drive away, Arabuko Sokoke Forest is home to the amazing birdlife and some secretive elephants. Keep yourself fortified with endless meal options at Pili Pan, Medina Palms, Ocean Sports or the Crab Shack. If you fancy yourself as a serious fisherman, or you want to learn, Ocean Sports has some of the best deep-sea fishing boats on the coast.
